The JV lacrosse team consists of juniors Remi Annunziata, Erin Gates, Nuoya Li, Reona Masago and Audrey Tseng, sophomores Yu Rong Lim and Sun Park, and freshmen Lucy Drinkwater, Sophia Elghanayan, Nisha Gupta, Shea Lawless, Nghi Nguyen and Chelsea Starkman.

We began the season with a number of new and inexperienced players, so we have been working hard to improve our basic skills, meanwhile working on offensive plays and defense, as well. Most importantly, the girls are learning what being a true Blair athlete is, and I have been impressed with their teamwork and desire to succeed. Despite some losses, they come to practice each day ready to work hard and with a positive attitude.

On offense, Sophia Elghanayan has been the leading scorer in every game, and has helped immensely with draw controls. On defense Rona Masago and Sun Park have been leaders (and have each scored one goal!). In goal, we are lucky to have an experienced player, Lucy Drinkwater, who averages 13 saves a game.

We do not have designated captains, but rather, two or three players are chosen each week to lead the team allowing all the girls to have an opportunity to practice their leadership skills. As we near the last week of the season, the team hopes for a couple more wins and to continue improving each time they step on the field.
