2010-2011 Recaps

1/6 - Blair places 2nd in first race of the season.
The ski team had its first race on Monday night. The boy's team placed second with Kris Patane placing seventh, Collin Browse at 11th, Bryn Martin at 12th, Graham Van der Lee in 13th, and Ryan Wood in 14th. 1/17 - Blair places 2nd
The ski team had its second Prep League slalom race on Monday with the boys placing second behind Don Bosco Prep. Kris Patane was seventh, Ryan Wood eighth, Collin Browse ninth, Bryn Martin tenth and Graham Van der Lee 11th.

2/15 - Blair places 2nd
On Tuesday night, the ski team had its final league giant slalom race. The team placed second with Ryan Wood 9th, Graham van der Lee 13th, Kris Patane 14th, Graham Merrifield 17th, Bryn Martin 18th and Collin Browse 19th. For the season the Blair team placed second overall behind a powerful Don Bosco Prep. The team has now qualified for the state championships which will be held at Hidden Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday the 24th (GS) and Saturday the 26th (SL).

2/24 & 2/26 - State Team-Finals
The ski team competed in the NJISRA team championships on Thursday (GS) and Saturday (SL) at Hidden Valley. In the giant slalom, the team placed 7th in a field of 10 teams (60 racers) with Ryan Wood 17th, Kris Patane 22nd, Graham van der Lee 31st, Bryn Martin 32nd, Collin Browse 36th, and Graham Merrifield 37th. In a very long and difficult slalom, the team placed 4th with Kris Patane 15th, Collin Browse 20th, Bryn Martin 21st, and Graham Merrifield 25th. Combining both days events, the team placed 5th overall. With no seniors on the team, everyone will be back again next year to pick up where they left off. Receiving All-Prep League honors for the season were Kris Patane, Bryn Martin, and Graham van der Lee.
