A Night of Dance

The Blair Academy Dance Department, headed by Denise Alexander-Male, performed “A Night of Dance” on May 10 in the Dubois Theatre of Armstrong-Hipkins Center for the Arts. The diversity of music — from “Tutti Frutti” by Little Richard to “In The Mood” by Glenn Miller — helped to demonstrate several varieties of dance.

The dancers consisted of students from Ms. Alexander’s C, E and H blocks with a special performance by Kenya Jones and Ezio Pavone to “Habanera.” The night was capped off by a farewell dance of two seniors, Emily Downs and Anwar Jones, who performed their final show at Blair Academy to the number “Dirty Dancing.”
