Blair Students Take Part in the Mr. MAPL Contest

This April, Blair’s archrival, The Peddie School, sponsored a male beauty contest for charity featuring “men of the MAPL league.” The Mid-Atlantic Prep League is comprised of prep schools in the Mid-Atlantic area, including Blair. The not-to-be-missed competition included a talent portion, a beachwear category and an evening wear evaluation. Blair sent three representatives to Hightstown, ZachWeisberg ’03, Dave Marshall ’02 and Drew Bishop ’02, chosen by the Senior Class Council.

And what a spectacle it was! Dave was first runner-up, and Zach received the People’s Choice award for his dancing during the talent portion of the contest. The winner, a Peddie student, received half of the proceeds (based on an admission fee of $5 per person) and chose to donate the funds to Operation Smile, an organization providing dental health services to people in third-world nations.
