Howard Baetjer and How the Capitalist Market System Works
Howard Baetjer, professor at Towson State University, spoke about How the Capitalist Market System Works as part of the Society of Skeptics lecture series on January 7th. He focuses in particular on the evolution of software development and is the author of Software as Capital: An Economic Perspective on Software Engineering.
Mr. Baetjer earned his B.A. in psychology from Princeton in 1974. He also has an M.Litt. degree from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, an M.A. in political science from Boston College, and a Ph.D. in economics from George Mason University. He has taught English and coached football at St. Georges School in Newport, Rhode Island, and worked as academic liaison at the Foundation for Economic Education in Irvington, New York, lecturing widely on market principles at universities and schools.
