This past Sunday, October 20th, Blair students and faculty took part in three charity fundraising events throughout the area. The Blair wrestling team, along with several other students and faculty, headed to New York City where they participated in the annual MS Bike Tour. They raised over $3,000 to help find a cure for multiple sclerosis with the 30-mile tour around Manhattan.
A second group of students and faculty, headed by Kaye Evans, Director of Community Services at Blair, traveled down to Princeton, New Jersey for the Komen Race for the Cure® the largest series of 5K runs/fitness walks in the world. Proceeds from the race help fund important breast cancer research as well as breast health initiatives on a local level.

And a third Blair group, led by Blair Chaplain, Reverend Peter Amerman, participated in the local Crop Walk through Blairstown, which raised money for local hunger-fighting agencies.
These events marked the first ever Community Service weekend at Blair Academy, where many of the usual weekend student activites were replaced with meaningful ways to give back to the community.
