Hope and Dreams Film Festival Comes to Blair
Blair Academy will host and sponsor the fifth annual Hope and Dreams Film Festival from October 4 through October 6 in the Armstrong-Hipkins Center for the Arts.
The event, which brings quality, independent films to the North Warren area, will feature special celebrations, three days of cinema and workshops in screenwriting. The theme for this years event is Dare to Dream and will showcase feature films, documentaries, short films and animation. As in past years, entries are from throughout the United States and abroad. Awards will be given for Best Feature, Best Short, Best Documentary, Best Animation and Best of the Festival.
On Saturday, October 5, from 1:00-2:30 p.m., Blair faculty member, scriptwriter and actor Steven Kampmann will conduct a workshop, An Introduction to Screenwriting. The session is offered free of charge, though reservations are required.
