Blair Basketball Wins New York Academic Tournament

Blair Academy beat Northfield-Mt. Hermon 79- 70 to win the New York Academic Tournament championship in New York City on December 21, 2003. Will Scott fired in 29 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead Blair to victory. Scott, who shot nine of ten from the line in the fourth quarter, was named tournament MVP. Shamari Spears scored 19 points and Chris Alvarez contributed 16 to the win. Blair basketball alumnus Luol Deng was there to cheer on his former teammates.
