Forging On Foot for Good Causes

Members of the Blair community—faculty, staff and students alike—ran and walked for a number of charitable organizations in recent weeks. Kaye Evans, faculty advisor for Blair’s community service group, rounded up 25 runners and walkers for the annual Race for the Cure in Princeton that took place on October 18. So far, Team Blair has raised over $1800 for the cause. Donations can still be made through the rest of this month by logging on to newjerseyraceforthecure.com and finding the Blair team. On-line donations can then be made by clicking on one of the team member’s names. You may also mail donations to Race for the Cure, 914 Commons Way, Princeton, NJ 08540.

Dance teacher Denise Alexander-Male participated in a walk on September 27 to benefit the Eastern Pennsylvania Down Syndrome Center. Her daughter Anyah is the 2003 Monroe/Pike [Counties] Child Representative for Easter Seals/Eastern Pennsylvania.

As she did last year, school registrar Susan Ferrera and her husband walked five miles in “The Walk” in Madison, N.J, October 19, to benefit Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. You may log on to www.cancer.org/stridesonline for more information or to make a donation.
