Baccalaureate and Commencement Exercises Held

Fair skies prevailed on graduation day for the Class of 2004. Prior to commencement exercises, graduates and their families gathered for brunch at Sharpe House, where they received their flowers for the ceremony. Blair alumni John C. Bogle ’47 (founder of the Vanguard Group and Blair Trustee), Norman Beatty ’58 and John H. Lewis ’54 participated in the ceremony, with both Carolyn R. Davis ’04 (valedictorian) and Kaitlin G. Maillet ’04 (senior class council member) addressing the graduating class.

Baccalaureate was held the prior evening at First Presbyterian Church of Blairstown. Retiring English teacher Robert Cooke was chosen as the speaker by the senior class.

Transcripts of speeches will be available on this Web site in the next few days.
