Spring Read-A-Thon Underway

Blair students will earn a penny a page for reading books (non-assigned) over the course of the next few weeks during the annual spring Read-A-Thon. Librarian Elayne Reiner is pleased to announce that, once again, a generous donation from an anonymous alumnus provides the funding behind this event. Two charities will benefit—Partners in Health, a non-profit organization that offers health care in Haiti (specifically treatment for children with tuberculosis) and The Chiapas Project, which seeks to provide free medical and dental care to the indigenous Zoque people of the State of Chiapas, Mexico, while encouraging volunteerism and personal growth among young people and medical/dental professionals. Blair hopes to exceed last year’s effort, which raised over $800.
