Earning by Learning to Save Energy

“Bleed Blue, Think Green” was the mantra spoken at School Meeting earlier this week. In return for their hand in achieving an 8 percent reduction in energy usage in January and February, students will earn a Headmaster Holiday this winter and expenses toward the cost of attending the prom this spring. With these goals in mind, students were advised to keep overhead lights off and only use their desk lamps or smaller light sources when needed. To further support this worthwhile endeavor, computers, stereos and lights in the dorm common rooms and hallways can also be turned off before students go to sleep at night. Stay tuned to see whether these goals are met later this winter.
