Earthshine Celebrates Earth Day 2005

On Friday, April 22, Blair’s student environmental club, Earthshine, planted a 12-foot-tall Japanese cherry tree in front of Freeman House to commemorate the 35th Earth Day. Club advisor Rob Merrifield (pictured with club members) reported that Joe Antonioli, foreman of grounds maintenance, selected the tree and site, while Earthshine purchased the tree with funds raised earlier in the year.
