Students Celebrate Chinese Moon Festival

In recent years, Chinese teacher Susan Kramer has helped ease the homesickness of international students by treating them to a “full moon festival.” Games and Chinese food – including moon cake – are all part of the fun.

The Chinese Moon Festival, also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival, is one of the most important traditional events for the Chinese. The Moon Festival is an occasion for family reunions – when the full moon rises, families get together to watch the full moon, eat moon cakes and sing moon poems.
