Hanover Wind Symphony Performs on Campus
On April 14 in the DuBois Theatre of the Armstrong-Hipkins Center for the Arts, the Hanover Wind Symphony presented an evening of masterworks of band repertoire as part of Blair’s Bartow Series. The Hanover Wind Symphony, a community orchestra from the Morristown, New Jersey area, plays a full concert schedule each season, including outreaches to local schools and colleges. Dana Williams, director of Blair’s instrumental program, is a member of the symphony and notes that musicians with the New York Philharmonic and other celebrated musical organizations periodically play with the Hanover Wind Symphony.
Named after former Blair music teacher and composer Nevett Bartow, the Bartow Series is a program endowed with the mission to expand the artistic experiences of Blair students by bringing professional performers from far and wide to the Blair stage.
