Local Artist Conducts Master Class for Students

On May 12, the Blair Academy art department hosted a lecture by Amy Hufnagel, visual artist, writer and programmer/administrator. During the following week, Ms. Hufnagel conducted a workshop for students in drawing, painting, photography and graphics classes; the student artists will create an activist art project based on the issue “Waste=Food.”

Ms. Hufnagel’s multimedia work has most recently been seen at E-Poetry, an international festival of digital poetry at SUNY-Purchase and the Drawing Center in New York City. She resides with her husband and daughter in Johnsonburg, N.J.
