Math Team Takes Home Trophies

On April 15, Blair’s math team competed in a contest at Warren County Community College. Hector Maquiera ’05 won second place at the post-Algebra 2 level, while Rebecca Chyung ’07 won the Algebra 2 individual contest. The Geometry team of Margie Weiner ’08, David Kim ’07, David Yoo ’07 and Amanda Zranchev ’08 placed second in the team competition, while Sarah Pearson ’06, Sam Peretore ’07, Heidi Sin ’08, Su-Ji Kang ’08 and Rebecca Chyung won the Algebra 2 team competition. A total of 26 students participated in the annual competition, along with their coach, math teacher Josh Markey.
