Blair Students Study in Spain
This summer, accompanied by language teacher Edwidge Dorelian and his wife, six Blair students attended classes taught by specialist teachers and also participated in excursions to San Juan de la Peña and Sta. Cruz de la Serós, the churches of El Serrablo and places of outstanding natural beauty in the Pyrenees including Ordesa National Park, Selva de Oza, and the Ansó valley. The group concluded its adventure with a four-night stay in Barcelona before returning to the United States.
The city of Jaca is a tourist center in the Aragon Pyrenees, in the Province of Huesca, which offers a wide variety of cultural events, services and sports pastimes. Less than two hours from Zaragoza and just a few kilometers from the French border, it is a gateway to Europe. The University of Zaragoza is recognized worldwide, as is demonstrated by the high number of foreign students attending the various co-operation programs in which it participates (Sócrates-Erasmus, Tempus).
