Actor and Seminary Graduate Speaks at Vespers
The spring vespers service took place on Thursday, April 21. Chaplain Peter Amerman reports the following: Frank Runyeon, a graduate of The Hill School, Princeton University and General Theological Seminary, worked for some years as an actor on such TV shows as “Falcon Crest,” “As The World Turns,” “Melrose Place” and “L. A. Law.” He combines his acting talents with his considerable knowledge of scripture to make the Bible come alive for modern audiences. Casting members of the faculty as cameo actors and actresses, he drew the Blair community into the first-century world of the apostle Matthew. His presentation of “The Sermon on the Mount” was high-energy drama, engaging to believers and skeptics alike. We look forward to having Frank back with us again.
