Prizes and Honors 2005 – Senior Class

The following prizes and honors were presented to members of the Class of 2005 during assemblies on Monday, May 23, and Friday, May 27, as well as at Commencement and School Meeting.

THE BLAIR ACADEMY TROPHY is awarded in recognition of the member of the senior class with the highest all-around achievement. It is presented by the Class of 1950 in memory of Mrs. Peter F. Troy, mother of a member of the class.

THE HEADMASTER’S PRIZE is awarded to the student in the senior class who has conspicuously displayed loyalty to the school, outstanding leadership, a fine influence in sportsmanship and Blair spirit in athletic competition.

THE GEORGE P. JENKINS ’32 PRIZE is awarded each year to the Valedictorian of the graduating class.

THE FRANKLIN PRIZE is awarded to the student in the senior class who has shown the greatest development and improvement throughout the course. It is presented in memory of Dr. Louis Franklin.

THE HAROLD F. WALKER MEMORIAL PRIZE is awarded to a senior who is deserving of recognition not provided in other awards.

THE SELENA AND JAMES HOWARD PRIZE is awarded to a senior who is deserving of recognition not provided in other awards.
