Blair Student’s Art on Exhibit in D.C.

Rita Baragona, chair of the fine arts department, reported earlier this year that art by Erik Wilburn, Hannah Kirkpatrick and Lauren Weinstein was chosen by judges to go to the 5th Congressional District jurying for “An Artistic Discovery: the Congressional Art Competition.”
Erik’s painting (“Still Life with Chair”), which won first prize, went on to the statewide competition and exhibition at the Bergen County (N.J.) Museum, where it was displayed with three other artworks from other congressional districts. Erik’s painting won at this level so went on to Washington, D.C., to be displayed in an exhibit of other works by teens from across the United States.
