Students Sway to Swing and Salsa

Dance teacher Sean Hoskins invited Maren Waldman to campus in May to share her enthusiasm and instruction by offering free swing and salsa dance classes. A graduate of Haverford College, Waldman began swing dancing during her high school years and later founded the Haverford Swing Dance Society. While living in New York City, she joined the Dance Manhattan West Coast Swing Team, taught swing classes at the Sandra Cameron Dance Center and studied other forms of dance at the Limon Institute.

Students took lessons from Waldman in Annie Hall on Saturday, May 21; on Sunday they continued their lessons and presented a swing dance routine later that day in Armstrong-Hipkins Center for the Arts.
